…a hub to the nations…
Meant to offer training, community development initiatives, relief services as well as working with churches and Christian groups
YWAM Arusha established a field office/mission center in 2014 at Kimbwi village, Ikungi district with an aim to serve and reach out to the region of Singida and other neighboring regions.
This center is meant to offer training, community development initiatives, relief services as well as working with churches and Christian groups to propagate the two-handed gospel across the region.
To this effect in the short years of existence, YWAM Singida has been able to do among other things the following listed achievements
We believe one aspect of bringing about sustainable development is taking good care of our environment to enable the people reap maximum benefits from their land and be able to feed themselves.
We have undertaken to produce seedlings for sustained tree planting programs across the region and have worked with the local government in that course.
The Local government officials have partnered with us in distributing seedlings to villagers for planting, the local District commissioner and other regional leaders have also actively partnered with us in the same course.
NB: The Government in the region has requested us to help prepare cashew nuts seedlings which we are working in partnership with them to do in the course of this and next year as per the request of the environment department in the region.
Education, the biggest equalizer of peoples!! Since the general populace of Singida is poor and under-privileged we have sought to set up a model school that combines quality education with affordability to give chance to bright children of our locality to access good, Christian valued education and in so doing determine their future regardless of their current status.
Our New Vision school branch in Singida seeks to bridge the gap and give the opportunity as stated above.
Currently we have pre-school and primary class 1 running with a total of 185 children enrolled 122 of those receive partial sponsorship from our partners to make the school affordable for them.
We are currently constructing the model school to cover pre-school to High school levels.
Other programs that we do including co-opting local communities in our projects such as tree planting to provide employment, relief food as and when needed, working along with the local government in maintenance of water bore holes that we have previously helped to dig as well as discipleship and mentorship programs with local primary and secondary schools through our children and youth outreach programs that also entails sports programs with local youths.
It’s easier than you think!
Get in touch and share your desire with us!
